Thanks for sharing your story with us Miranda. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
It all happened when I bought a face painting kit and started to paint my face my arms but as a hobby, and I really loved it! So, I thought why not make a business out of this? What I did next was contacting a lot of face painters in my area asking if they were hiring or something. That day, Alison from Face Paint Glory called me, so we can meet and practice, she took me to some of her gigs, so I could see how it is and everything, I always went to her house to practice some designs. She suggested to me I should create my own company, so I did! I don’t know what I would’ve done without her because she gave me so much advice! Now, I have my own clients and bookings and now, is my everything, I’m really proud of making my own business at the age of 18.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Probably, I was struggling with my first paintings because I didn’t have enough practice, but practice makes perfect and now I’m really proud of what I can paint.
