Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Mosheim.
Hi Melissa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve been in fashion since I was 15. As soon as I could, I started working in a variety of different boutiques. Through the years, I’ve worked in boutiques in a variety of cities and all over Miami. I always knew that styling was my passion and after gaining a bunch of experience in styling, management and buying, I decided to venture out on my own. I created MVM because I was never a mall shopper. I wanted to create not only a boutique but an experience. I have curated a coveted selection of clothing and accessories from all over the world. MVM has an extremely qualified staff of stylists that aim to please each and every customer.
My team and I try to go above and beyond to make sure all of our clients leave with looks that make them feel confident. In light of the current situation, we have now created a virtual experience where our customers can make an appointment either in store or via zoom and we will drop off boxes to your home. Our website even has a local delivery option. The growth of at-home service has really helped to expand our business from your typical brick and mortar experience. We also love to host in-store parties for birthdays or special occasions. Although our events have changed into smaller gatherings, we have had some great in store experiences this year.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As with any business, we have definitely experienced some struggles. The zika years were definitely tough and of course, now with Covid it we have been challenged even further. But I am a firm believer that these struggles only continue to promote growth, which in the end, give you an invaluable lesson. Through these tough times, we have become more innovative using other sales outlets such as social media and growing our online store.

MVM Miami is a women’s boutique that specializes in curating unique collections not found in other stores. We focus on the current trends and cutting edge fashion. We carry clothing for all occasions as well as shoes and other accessories as well as gift items. We offer at-home drop-offs, one on one in-store appointments as well as virtual sessions. We are the one-stop-shop for all your wardrobe needs.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is when my parents brought home our first dog. I am a huge dog lover. My brother and I had been begging for a dog for years and my parents finally gave in. They pretended that they were picking up a friend from the airport and it was actually Cassie. It was the best surprise.
