Hi Melissa, so great to have you join us again. For folks who might have missed our earlier conversations, can you please take a minute to briefly introduce yourself?
Hi I’m Melissa Jean, the owner of an Indie Cosmetics Brand that goes by the name of Steppin’ Stone Beauty. Based out of Miami, Fl but offers purchasing and shipping to consumers worldwide.
When you reflect on your journey are you amazed at the growth of your brand so far?
Yes I’m very amazed. My dream has now become reality and I honestly can’t believe I’ve grown as much as I have in such a short period of time.
How have you maintained balance between several different roles within your lifestyle and your brand?
Well when things starts to get a little overwhelming I take a minute to reflect on how far I’ve come and I briefly slow down the process of everything to gather my thoughts and sanity while still ensuring that everything in my business and my lifestyle is being well maintained and still of high value.
What has been your biggest challenge so far and how did you navigate?
My biggest challenge so far is accepting adversity and the different seasons you endure within the growth of your business. I’ve learned that sometimes loss in business are actually wins in the end and are sometimes necessary for you to reach the next level. I’ve learned to navigate by remaining positive and looking forward to the greater good in all things.
What has been your most rewarding experience within the beauty industry?
My most rewarding experience has been the daily testimonials I receive from my customers showcasing how much they love my products and how they always return for more. The feeling is very gratifying.
