Meet Marlene Maseda of Fusion 4 Media

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Marlene Maseda.

Marlene Maseda

Hi Marlene, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started in the music business at a very young age, I was 18 out of high school, and got offered a position as assistant to the president of the James L. Knight Center, a concert venue in Miami. I met concert promoter Arie Kaduri from NYK Productions, who offered me a job with him.

After 4 years at the James L. Knight Center, I went to work with Arie Kaduri, where I learned about the concert business eventually, he helped me get a job at Sony Discos with the amazing Albita Eagan, where I learned everything that had to do with record labels.

I started off as a production assistant and ended up as Marketing Director there. Eventually, I opened my first publicity firm and was the first publicist to work in the Urban Latin Reggaeton movement with Machete Music. There I worked with artists such as Don Omar, Hector El Father, Wisin y Yandel, Luny Tunes, and Magnate y Valentino, among many others.

I was also the producer of the #1 daily TV Show on the Hispanic TV Show, Esta Noche Tu Night with Alexis Valdes. And since 2013 I have been working independently with my company Fusion 4 Media, where we provide Press and Publicity services for multiple artists and genres of music.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I don’t think anything in the music business is a smooth road, there have been plenty of struggles, but nothing I have not been able to overcome. I think that adversity makes me want to work harder and challenges me to do better.

We’ve been impressed with Fusion 4 Media, LLC., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Fusion 4 Media, every client is unique, and every campaign is treated with the utmost care and attention to detail. The firm takes a collaborative approach, working closely with clients to understand their goals, challenges, and aspirations.

By fostering transparent communication and maintaining a client-centric focus, Fusion 4 Media builds long-lasting partnerships grounded in trust, mutual respect, and shared success. We work with diverse types of clients such as recording artists, actors, comedians, authors, concert events, and special events as well.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the COVID-19 crisis?
After the Covid-19 crisis, I have learned to value every moment, and to think out of the box as well, being that because everything was closed, we had to find innovative ways of promoting our talent and we began doing Zoom interviews with media outlets, and also panels via zoom where we united artists in multiple occasions to talk about their experience, music and everything happening during the trying times.
