Today we’d like to introduce you to Marit Tuisk and David Lepp.
Hi Marit and David, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
Our story is about the evolution of two outsiders who have been in pivotal junctures of history and life to co-create our own story. We have been melted by diverse ideologies. We grew up under the oppressive communist system in the USSR and lived in various European countries until we settled down in the free-market capitalist U.S.A.
David’s goal was to live in the free world and break through the Iron Curtain of the Soviet Union. In 1989, he finally had his chance and left the USSR for Italy as a political refugee. Marit’s opportunity to leave the oppressive Soviet system happened in 1990 with an opportunity to study fashion design in Finland. Our paths crossed in 1991 at a Christmas party. It was an instant connection for two dreamers in their search for a partner for the journey called life.
Now, 30 years later, we can affirm that we achieved all the blessings we could have asked for about family. All the ups and downs, four of us together (Marit and David’s two daughters included). Happiness, and crisis. Joys and pains. All of those moments made us who we are. All the searches led us to realize that answers to everything lie inside ourselves.
And that longest journey is from head to heart. In our journey, we sought ancient and modern spiritual practices, and we found that the methods are like tree branches of one big tree connected through the human imagination and grounded with strong roots.
David’s awakening journey started with one of the valuable lessons life taught him when he went through depression in his late 30s. The value of that desperate situation to struggle with your mind and body taught him how powerful we all are. Our mind and body are miraculous instruments, and if we pay little attention to them, we can create the reality we enjoy living in. For him, the game changer was opening up his heart to sound healing and bringing a more holistic approach to his life.
David has an extensive career in alternative healing, with over 25 years of experience in globally renowned five-star spas, connecting with customers worldwide. Over time, he has come to find the most joy and passion in using sound healing as a primary tool to help improve physical and emotional health. The overall benefits are ultimate relaxation and inner peace during one-on-one and group experiences.
Marit previously had a career in the fashion industry, where she worked for corporate brands and founded her sustainable clothing business E.G.O. in 2007 and later immersed it into an upcycled concept -collaborating with artists to make luxury vintage pieces into wearable art.
She embarked on her healing journey of self-discovery over 16 years ago, learning to thrive while living with an autoimmune disease. She began by embracing a plant-based diet and alternative medicines. She started her mindfulness practice through Yoga and meditation, which allowed her to go deep within and peel off layers of conditioning and self-blockages to discover that self-acceptance, love, and joy are all within each of us.
She discovered heart-opening Cacao and Quantum Energy Healing right before the pandemic hit, and the past few years have been all about bridging the ancient wisdom of Cacao with modern energy healing techniques. Even traveled to Guatemala to live with shamans for a month to learn how to facilitate Cacao ceremonies to honor ancient practices and cultures. Her passion lies in holding space for others to connect with who they are and guiding them to radiate their magic back into the world.
Marit is certified in Cacao Ceremony facilitating, Reiki, Quantum Dowsing, and Feng Shui practices. Marit and David founded Casa Rituals in 2021 to create a deeper and more aligned space, working with the vibration of sound healing, quantum dowsing, and sacred rituals for internal peace and harmony.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
For us, obstacles and challenges are the most valuable teachers. Most of all, they should allow us to have a functional relationship with each other and our clients and stay tuned with the Casa Ritual brand. Maintaining our individuality is very important for us. We honor each other and our boundaries. Over the years, we have learned to build the bridge between our oppositions in our relationships, adding strength to our business relationships. We mastered being an ‘A team’ in chaos and challenging situations. Now, we are mastering and focusing on being a power couple while building a successful global business.
When we started building the Casa Rituals brand, we were highly aware of the fact that any little success is just the tip of the challenges “iceberg.” Knowing that made us look for feedback, constructive criticism, and advice. With all that knowledge and experience we have accumulated, building a brand is also sprinkled with the knowledge that life and business are never those perfect things called “fair.” We are constantly working on being more flexible in our relationships. And in our healing journeys, we hold space for each other whenever we go through a shadow period.
Our most valuable experience as a couple has been raising our two daughters together. They have been our biggest teachers, pushing us to grow as a family and individuals. It’s beneficial to value our differences, take responsibility for our mistakes as we keep evolving, and talk about it with your kids and spouse. Again, communication is the key to the past and present obstacles while creating a solid foundation for future growth.

“Casa” represents masculine energy/elements, and “Rituals” represents feminine energy/elements…merging our skills and energies beautifully. Our mission is to bring everyday mindful intention to the busy modern-day person by bridging ancient wisdom and modern healing techniques and empowering the person to step into their power and find the answers within.
We offer group and private sessions of Cacao ceremonies, Sound immersions, and space clearing through the Quantum Dowsing method and different vibrations of sound. We have collaborated with IIN, Four Seasons, Tammy Fender, Mounts Botanical Garden, and other commercial spaces and private clients.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up.
Marit: Truly, it has been my journey from my mind to my heart. At a very young age, I was drawn to animals more than people. I was speaking to the moon, and I also liked to express myself the way I dressed- lavishly and over-the-top, which now going back to my childhood moon talks -I am holding the moon and sacred cacao ceremonies-it has been very natural for me, and it is remembrance.
David: I consider myself lucky to have been born in a small North European country called Estonia. Back in those old days, almost 75% of the country was covered with forest. My childhood memories are invariably influenced by some sort of wild woodlands, lakes, rivers, and hills. The lack of human inference and pristine nature had its sounds and rhythm to communicate with me.
Exploring through the forest, I was developing unique kinds of vision and hearing to understand the motion of different trees whispering in the breeze. Among the trees, one of my favorite whisperers was pine forest branches and needles that captured wind with their evergreen canopies.
