Meet Marisa Pearcy

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Marisa Pearcy. Marisa was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Shantel Davis.

Marisa , thank you so much for joining us today. We’d love for you to bring our readers up to speed – can you introduce yourself and share your story?
I started my modeling career by sharing favorite outfits that are inspired by vacationing in Florida. I decided to branch out and start modeling and promoting brands from designers. I love to share bright and fun clothing. I combined my love for fashion and art into my own website called ShopFloridaGirl.com. It’s also a place where I can share my own paintings that I then create into items such as coffee mugs, tumblers, pillows, prints and beach towels.

Let’s talk about your work and career – what else should we know?
I have a bachelors degree in Fine Arts. My media is painting and drawing. I was always fascinated with figure drawing! I love to paint figures and a lot of my artwork is inspired by 1950s women or anything that has to do with the ocean and beach life! My fashion modeling is inspired by fitness and vacation items such as dresses, swimsuits and beach towels. And I also own a martial arts school for over 16 years.

So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Colors Are Beautiful LLC and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Colors Are Beautiful LLC.
I came across Shantel’s designs through Etsy. From what I have been able to model for her, her work is very clean and well stitched. She has an eye for detail. She makes every piece by herself so the buyer is getting a very unique and one of kind piece. She also brings a lot of elegance and class to her designs. I started my modeling career in 2023 and Shantel was one of the few that was kind to help get me started! To date, I have been able to model for 10 other companies, including Colors are Beautiful LLC. Some others that I have worked with are Periwinkle Boutique, Glowweapons, and Hippiechamber. I have also worked along with a photographer in Niceville, Florida by the name of Thomas Wulchak of THOMAS Photography. As far as obstacles, the biggest one for myself is the belief that I am able to model along with my full time job and a mother of two. It has been a true blessing so far and I have met some incredible designers in the process!
