Meet Maria Lopez of The Tipsy Horseshoe But also The Lemon Lariat

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Lopez.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started in the hospitality industry as a single mom working long hours just to make ends meet. in the beginning, I worked full time & also sampled liquor at stores on the weekends often working six- sometimes seven days a week while raising my family and trying to build a better future. Those early years taught me perseverance, hard work, and how important genuine connection and hospitality really are.

As I continued growing and getting more established, I was finally able to bring a dream to life: transforming a horse trailer into a mobile bar for weddings and special events. What started as a vision slowly became a business built from determination, creativity, and a passion for serving people during the most memorable moments of their lives.

Today, My mobile bartending business has grown so much into serving weddings, trains, private parties, corporate events, and community celebrations throughout this area. Looking back, its incredible to see how something that began from survival and sacrifice turning into a thriving business that allows me to create experiences, bring people together, and inspire others to keep chasing their dreams no matter where they start.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has by far no been an easy road. Building something completely from the ground up comes with a lot of challenges especially when you’re learning as you go. From renovating the trailer itself , finding a balance in time management from working full time to learning how to haul a 2,000 pound horse trailer and navigate the logistics of events, every stage came with a new lesson. On tops of that, finding a rhythm that works not only for you but also creates the best experience possible for your guests takes time, patience and consistency.

I truly believe business is an ongoing learning process that never really stops. No matter what industry you’re in, there will always be obstacles and growing pains. The difference is having the determination to keep going through those hard seasons, continue adapting, and stay focused on the vision you started with.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Tipsy Horseshoe But also The Lemon Lariat?

One thing that truly sets us apart is our versatility. We are proud to be a multi purpose brand that continues to evolve beyond bartending services alone. In addition to events, we also offer mini sessions for local photographers using our beautifully styled setups and horse trailer bar as a backdrop for seasonal shoots, branding sessions, family photos and creative content. What people know us for most is the atmosphere we bring.

At the heart of our brand is community, creativity and the ability to wear many hats while still delivering quality service.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Honestly, I don’t believe in luck the way most people define it. When you have Christ centered at the head of both your business and your personal life, you begin to see things differently. Has the journey always been easy? Absolutely not, there have many been challenges, setbacks long days and nights and moments have tested me deeply. but there have also been incredible blessings, growth and opportunities along the way. Each season teaches you something, strengthens you and helps shape the path you’re meant to walk. So rather than calling it good luck or bad luck, I see it as Gods directions and design working through every part of the journey.
