Hi María, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
The business started back in Mexico, City during College. A group of friends and myself got together with the idea of creating unique designs with plants to get extra money. And the business kept growing. Later on, I just ended up having my sister as a partner, but now It’s just me and some amazing help from my husband. When I moved to Florida 5 years ago, I came up with the idea of starting to grow my business here in the USA but it was not as simple as I thought, so it took me a while to figure out a lot of things. I am nothing but grateful because every step of the journey has brought me to where I am today. I recently open a mobile Plant Shop, after doing farmers and craft markets for a while. The idea of this Mobile shop is to bring green to every spot. I want to share what I love with others, by making easier the transition to becoming a plant parent, most of my lovely clients approach me because they want to start, their plant parenthood journey, but sometimes fear comes on the way, that is why I like to focus more with indoor and easy-care plants. That way we can start breaking the taboo of “I kill all my plants lol”. By teaching others how to take care of plants and being aware that they are just like us, living things, everything becomes easier. Let’s keep it simple and real. Do we drink water? They do too. Did we cut our hair? They need to cut out some leaves too. Do we change clothes size? They need a bigger pot too. And on and on.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I could say it has been a road full of knowledge, rocks on the way, and sometimes tears. Everyone tells you how amazing is to start your own business. And it is! But nobody teaches you how to start, run and get your business on the road to success. An entrepreneur is not a magical road but it’s an amazing one once you look back. My only advice for anyone that is reading this and struggling with their own business, is: don’t give up, keep going, because if you are doing what you love, even if you don’t see it now, believe me, it will all fall into place soon!

The name of Plantt Within was born with the idea of growing within, observing within, watering within, feeling within, loving within, etc. So, you can glow and bloom naturally outside of yourself. As I said before I just opened a mobile Plant Shop, so we specialized in easy care for indoor and outdoor plants, we offer the service of bringing the shop to the comfort of your home so you can shop from home.
We also attend private events, such as bachelorette parties, bridal parties, birthday parties, etc. We give personal advice when it comes to decorating any space of your home with plants, we teach you how to take care of each plant, which one will go better depending on the light of the space and other details. We also offer Wholesale service for those who are looking to expand their inventory. We are about to launch our website where we will be shipping nationwide, we want our love for greenery to get to more people. We have a monthly subscription for any shop/yoga studios/restaurants/coffee shops/book shops, etc. that get their plants with us we give them maintenance. We are on the Doordash platform, yes, we believe that you should be able to get your plants as fast as your food! And we are still attending fresh & green farmers’ markets. We love getting to know our clients in person.

I love reading, it is one of my number one passion. And anything related to spiritual philosophy it’s on my shelf! I try to keep a balanced life in every way, with myself and with others. I used for a very long time the headspace app; I highly recommend it if you are starting your journey into meditation. And last but not least I love practicing Yoga on and off my mat!
