Today we’d like to introduce you to Luis Vento.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Luis. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
It all started out six years ago when I was 19 and really didn’t know what I wanted to as a career. I had completed my first college semester and saw a flyer on social media of this new place called E11EVEN that was looking to fill positions. I initially applied as a barback but ended up getting hired as a Security. I had no knowledge of the business, what to do and had no intentions of staying at first. But little did I know, it would slowly turn to me becoming a host, executive host, operations manager and now VIP Manager. What I thought was going to be a part-time job turned out to be a career for me. Thanks to the dedication in our Director of VIP Services, Rob Crosoli he was able to help me develop and reach my potential. I started networking on my nights off by going to hotels, restaurants, and even other cities by extending invitations. After a couple of years, I was able to establish myself as the go-to guy at E11EVEN for any VIP needs and I would just get one referral after the next. As of last year, I grew a passion for music and started getting involved in building those relationships with artists to influence them to come by E11EVEN and to perform at our club.
Over the past years, I’ve developed a passion for music and have put forth a lot my energy in developing connections in the entire industry. Whether it’s the artist’s, managers, producers, labels… I just literally wanted to build a name for myself in the music industry and make them remember me for more than just giving them bottles at the club. Slowly but surely, I’ve done just that and have been able to do business with J Cole, Tory Lanez, Murda Beatz, Chase B, Belly, NAV, SmokePurpp, Travis Scott and more. I only hope the future brings more milestones to reach and thresholds to set. In the future, my intentions are to gravitate more towards working with artist whether it’s managing them, working for a music label or just throwing events. I love putting an entire production together, it all happens as a vision in my head first and then turns into a reality when the time comes for the artist to step on stage. There is no better feeling in the world to me than seeing something you visualize come to life and watching thousands of people having the time of their lives. Granted, it takes an entire team to pull off these productions and I would never be able to do this alone. Through the countless efforts of our entire staff, we are able to provide an amazing experience to our guests.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It wasn’t always a smooth road, I started off at a really young age in the industry and didn’t really get taken seriously by others at first. I was 19 years old holding the front door at E11EVEN just greeting people, about twice a week. I was really quiet and didn’t interact much but somewhere along the way I turned things around and made the most out of every opportunity that was presented to me. Being younger than everyone else, I knew I had something to prove to everyone so I’ve always carried myself much older than I really am, I would always respect all of those around me and help people. I truly believe helping others is what got me to the next level, being very unselfish and helping other people equal or beneath you grow speaks a lot about your character, what type of person you are. As the years passed by, I would always stay true to my work ethic and everything that got me to advance in my career, personal growth and financially. Till this day I still do the small things that I used to do when I first started working at E11EVEN and my production just kept on increasing. Everyone around me was so proud of me and what I was bringing to the company, it felt good. I definitely aspire to keep on getting better with time and reach more goals in higher positions one day.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about E11EVEN MIAMI – what should we know?
For the most part, I specialize in the VIP Services side of the nightlife business. This can be anything from booking high-end clientele, celebrities, athletes, artists and anyone who falls into the criteria of being a great guest of ours at E11EVEN. I am one of the VIP Managers alongside my partner Nick Manca and we are both responsible for the Host Department at E11EVEN. Making sure we develop them, making sure we teach them everything we know, give constructive criticism and be a big brother to all of them. Our Club has been open for almost six years now and seeing it grow from Day 1 to what we are now is just a blessing from above. Being apart of this project and seeing E11EVEN turn into one of the top-grossing nightclubs in the world with my own two eyes is truly priceless. We set ourselves apart by preaching hospitality to everyone that has intentions of visiting our club, whether you are a guest spending $50 dollars at the bar or $5000 at a table we will do our best to make sure you have the most unique nightlife experience you have ever been apart of. Taking care of the artists we book at E11EVEN is also something I grew a passion for a couple of years back and I truly enjoy being the point of contact to set everything up for them. The way I see it is that if I can meet the expectations of huge artists than I can meet the expectations of any guest walking through those doors, they have high standards so that keeps me in check and just kinda has the domino effect of keeping those high standards with every guest I interact with.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I was blessed to have a great group of people that contributed to my early success in nightlife and without question, the person who had the believed in me the most, had the biggest impact and dedicated countless hours of work to help me grow goes by the name of Rob Crosoli. He is our Director of VIP Services and we’ve been working together for almost 6 years now. He saw me turn from a 19-year-old kid to a 25-year-old man. Our owners Dennis Degori, Daniel Solomon, Gino LoPinto, Derick Henry, Ken Degori and Frances Martin also played a huge role in giving me these opportunities as such a young age and holding me accountable to perform to our standards as a company. My best friend, partner, and lover Andrea Farinez is my biggest fan, supporter and pushes me to do better every day. Obviously, those who have supported E11EVEN throughout the years as guests or clients play a big role in my success as we wouldn’t be able to exist without you and for that, I am forever thankful.
