Today we’d like to introduce you to Lorenzo Silvestri.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am an Italian Attorney and Certified Foreign Legal Consultant in Florida with a law master’s degree in American Law and International legal practice obtained from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. I moved to the States in 2011 to open the US branch of a prestigious Italian law firm in Miami, Florida. Since then, my practice has focused on counseling Italian Investors and Italian companies in Florida as well assisting US Entities and individuals in Italy. After ten years, I am now fully settled down in Miami with my wife Alice, my daughter Victoria and our “Italian” dog Pongo. In Miami, I feel like living the life that I dreamed of, challenging and exciting at work, very comfortable and happy at home as well as very active in sports, including soccer, work-out and Padel that literally changed my life in better.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I always liked challenges in life with the goal to grow as a person and as a professional. I left the comfort zone multiple times in the past in order to achieve the best possible future for me and for those that would live the life around me. As a matter of fact, when I was 18, I left my home town Rome to move to Bologna to study law, a small city in the North of Italy, where I was able to grow up either my personality and professional skills. Before moving to Florida, I have also spent significant time in London, Dublin and New York for short professional and educational experiences.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
In the next 5 or 10 years, hopefully, my firm will have the right size and position to better accommodate all its clients’ needs.
