Today we’d like to introduce you to Lina Silva.
Lina, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I love to explore different spots, find the best deals, & treat myself to nice restaurants now and then. Food is typically shared with friends and loved ones, and I wanted to share my journey with other fellow foodies out there. May of this year, I decided I’d start an Instagram dedicated to my #foodventures, which has grown to almost 1700 followers in only five months! My motto is a simple-will drive for food!
So far, I’ve had the delight of exploring places ranging from Coral Springs to Hallandale, to Sunny Isles and of course, Wynwood. I love following the trends but also finding them, and I’m excited to keep exploring more hidden gems in South Florida and beyond! Getting to meet new people in the community and trying out new restaurants has been a bonus and I can’t wait to see what the future holds! Has it been a smooth road?
Luckily, it has been an extremely smooth road! I love what I’m doing and I’m getting the opportunity to meet other foodies in the community who have been extremely supportive. I love seeing how in this saturated market, all of the foodies I’ve met have set the tone of community support, rather than tearing one another down. I have no complaints so far, other than the added numbers on the scale as a sacrifice for this foodie lifestyle! #worthit.
Tell us about your work.
I am a self proclaimed foodie, with a love for food and photography. I’ve been able to merge these two passions by posting my restaurant experiences on Instagram, always looking for the most delicious meals in South Florida. I’m proud of the platform I’m building and the connections I’ve made with local businesses and people in the community. I enjoy supporting local restaurants and being able to meet new people through a common passion.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Having honest intentions, being supportive of others, and being able to enjoy the process is most important to the success of this page. I started this for fun and it organically grew from there. I want to maintain that same energy so it remains an enjoyable passion.
