Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevinlee Todman.
Kevinlee, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Well I grew up pretty much always doing something in the creative realm. For me, this journey that I’m most known for, Legit Creations started about two years ago, Art Basel 2017.
That’s when I got my first official camera. It shipped to me that day, and that night was my first time using it. I snuck into an event at this hotel. First picture I took with it was of Asap Rocky, then Kylie Jenner, then Vic Mensa, and more. All in that hour.
From there, it just clicked in my head like “Yea, I’m going to make something of this”. Expanding it into an all-around lifestyle brand rather than just being a dude with a camera. So now we have vlogs letting supporters see what happens on our day to day, A clothing brand so they can wear Legit, events for them to network at and it’ll just continue to grow.
It got to this point from just hard work really. Not taking no for an answer, finding a way. I don’t let people tell me it can’t be done. Being proactive is really like a big difference in my opinion. I feel like a lot of people wait too long for things to happen and that’s where they miss out on a lot. Hurry up!
We’ve gotten far in a short amount of time. Millions of views, working with tons of big names, and overall just giving the brand name more value over time. I’m not satisfied though.
When people think of (and I hate using this word now, but) culture and the people pushing it forward, Legit Creations will be among the top.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, but I never expected a smooth road to begin with. With that in mind, the journey is much easier if that makes sense.
One of the biggest struggles has just been managing everything we do between the very small team we have. It’s really just me and my partner Chante handling everything major.
But I appreciate the outcome and growth more knowing that we get farther, faster, with less.
So it’s cooler.

Legit Creations is a media company serving as a platform and one-stop shop for artists.
We do it all from Music Videos, Events, Photoshoots, Business Commercials, Websites, Graphic designs, clothing, and more. (Hit us up *Wink Wink*)
I think what sets us apart from other media companies is our sense of community. Our strong and growing support system stems from us actually tapping in with the people who genuinely enjoy our content and creating opportunities for up and coming talent.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
The only thing I would’ve done differently….was start this vision earlier. When I was in High-school. Anyone reading this if you’re in school and you have a dream do it NOW. I feel like high school is the best marketing you could ever get.
All the kids are on their phones, looking for something new, minds open. Seriously think back to when you were in school, you were really just waiting until lunch, so you could tell your friends what you saw on Instagram or whatever.
