Hi Laura, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I saw a need for English speaking concierge that knew the best in Miami and wanted to offer that to everyone else looking. I additionally wanted to make sure others weren’t getting scammed and were treated the best to ensure an amazing time in America’s paradise. That’s when I started Lavish by LauLau. Then I realized I wanted to throw events with all the resources in my network to showcase all my entrepreneurial friends I wanted to continue booking jobs for. I additionally had been doing fashion shows for my designer friends as a model and I wanted to give guests more of an experience so I combined my two passions: lavish concierge services and fashion shows. At the time I was also sewing new bikini designs that were running through my mind so I became not only a Host, Producer, and Director, but also a Designer and probably more roles to be honest to give guests the ultimate experience in Miami. My events have always been in line with the Lavish brands ideals in they way that it’s either a new business we want to showcase and give love to such as our first show Metallic Metaverse at Arlo Wynwood and most recent show at the Sound Mecca or a lavish venue like our second and third shows, a high rooftop terrace on the beach to showcase Fireworks & Fire Walks show and a Villa in Miami Beach where models walked the dock as yachts and more water toys apart of Lavish cruised by to showcase themselves. We also love to connect with charities to bring more light onto them while we partner with other businesses such as our Artists to donate their work or experience and auction off for the causes.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Honestly having a great attitude and energy will get you far and with ease. Although every road has its bumps I try to get over them as fast as possible. It’s definitely challenging to bring together 100 plus people to work together on an event like models, photographers, press, security, production, catering, music, talent, charities, sponsors, and more while also finding the perfect venue to showcase and respect to the best of our abilities. We additionally always love when a new investor or sponsor is interested in supporting us because then we are able to get our message and event production onto a higher level.
