Today we’d like to introduce you to Konstantin Serov.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was first introduced to gymnastics at the age of 5 in Moscow County, Russia.
By age 11, I won first place in the Moscow Region Youth games in gymnastics. After graduating from school, I was accepted into the very prestigious Moscow State College of Circus and Variety Art.
I graduated with a dual specialty in group juggling and acrobatics on jump rope; my juggling group won 1st place in the “Circus Award” competition in Moscow. After graduating from college. I worked and toured with circus shows around the world including Cirque de Moscow, Akishin Show, Moscow State Circus, Cirque Dreams, Cirque Hawaii, and Cirque De La Symphonie.
My work and schooling inspired me to become a co-founder of Cirque Art Studio in North Miami, where I now teach gymnastics, acrobatics, juggling, and other circus skills.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With circus, the road is never smooth, but that challenge is what makes it so exciting!
Training in the cirque and starting a cirque school is very difficult. To be successful, safety has to be the #1 priority. At Cirque Art Studio, we make sure everyone is safe during training and performances.
We also pride ourselves on the high-caliber teaching that we offer. We consistently train students that become aerial competition champions and future professional performers. This high-quality training takes dedication and commitment; I sometimes work 7 days a week!

Cirque Art Studio is a professional circus school that trains students of all ages and all levels. We are known for offering youth aerial and circus classes, youth and adult tumbling, hand-balancing classes, adult mixed aerial classes, and flexibility and contortion classes.
We are not a “cookie-cutter” aerial studio; while other studios may follow a set curriculum, our classes are customized to our students’ abilities, and we nurture their potential to become professional performers.
We respect that every student is on a different journey in their skills and abilities, so we work to help each student find success and growth. This takes extra time and dedication, but the great results are worth it!
We are proud that we have trained numerous professional contortionists, professional aerialists, and aerial competition champions over the years.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Yes. We first moved our business online during quarantine.
We hosted virtual classes through Zoom. Then, when we were allowed to conduct business in person under the mask mandate, we required our students to wear masks, wash hands, and check their temperature prior to starting class.
These extra safety measures helped our business thrive and grow during the Covid-19 crisis.
