Meet Kingsley Villalba of Revive Auto Salon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kingsley Villalba.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I began detailing cars in 2012 out of necessity from the trunk of my car. At the time, I was struggling to find work that provided both fulfillment and financial stability, so I decided to create my own opportunity and pursue detailing full time.

Cars had always been a passion of mine, and I had built a reputation for keeping my own vehicles in pristine condition. With a tax refund, a $5,000 bank loan, and a great deal of determination, I purchased a truck and assembled the equipment needed to officially launch my detailing business in 2013.

In the early days, I went door to door handing out business cards and building my client base one customer at a time. While convenience was what sold some customers, I quickly realized there was a market for clients who genuinely valued quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. By focusing on those customers, I gradually built a reputation for high end quality and continued growing my knowledge, confidence, and business year after year.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Two years before starting my business, I was essentially homeless. To say there were struggles along the way would be an understatement.

For many years, it felt like everything was an uphill battle. In fact, I would say the first seven years of business were especially difficult. I had little understanding of how to run a business and accumulated significant debt simply trying to stay afloat.

There were moments when giving up would have been easier, but working for myself, though difficult, meant more to me than anything else I could imagine doing. I kept learning from my mistakes, and continuing to move forward. Those difficult years shaped not only my business, but also who I am today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Revive Auto Salon?
What I value most is a satisfied customer who trusts my services and appreciates quality.

For many people, a vehicle is more than just transportation, it’s a reward for years of hard work and achievement. Because of that, I believe detailing is about much more than washing a car. It’s about providing a white-glove experience that keeps something valuable looking its absolute best.

I take great pride in arriving at a customer’s home, carefully inspecting every part of the vehicle, and discussing not only how to clean it, but also how to protect and preserve it for years to come. I believe that’s where my service truly shines.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I’m not sure there’s much I dislike about this city. What I love most is the connection to the water and the outdoor lifestyle. Whether I’m sitting at Colee Hammock Park watching the yachts pass by or spending time at the beach, those simple moments are what make this city feel like home.
