Today we’d like to introduce you to King DYFL.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
Demetrius “DYFL” Lumpkin is an independent hip hop artist from Miami, Florida who began recording under super producers Cool & Dre. He later branched out and began releasing mixtapes online. His 3rd mixtape, “Rise of A King” was hosted by hip hop icon DJ Khaled. Since then, he has appeared on the BET series “One Shot” and has landed deals with Converse and Journeys shoes for various music collaborations. DYFL was featured on music with Hip Hop mogul and artist Jim Jones on the Miami Vamps mixtape and has released Rise Of A King 2 and the 24 EP. DYFL is scheduled to appear in several performances at various concert venues and will be releasing more videos and music. Stay Tuned and watch the movement.
Please tell us about your art.
My art is my everything. I use it to inspire and uplift those going through something. I always use it to have fun and for people to enjoy because I truly love it. I work so hard for those who passionately believe in what they do to show them anything is possible.
Choosing a creative or artistic path comes with many financial challenges. Any advice for those struggling to focus on their artwork due to financial concerns?
Utilize your surroundings and the people you know. Money helps but investing it in small things that matter like your own equipment can help you save so much more money.
