Hi Kiara, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I’ve always been a person that loved aromas and especially aroma therapy as a way to calm the mind and body. The idea of a candle business started off when I worked briefly at a yoga studio.
Before each session, a candle was lit to add calming energy to the space and seeing how the tension from people’s bodies would ease away after a few deep breaths inhaling an aromatic candle, I wanted to provide that same experience
Once that light bulb clicked, I started my own candle brand crafting and creating an experience that not only provides relief but also as a piece of art and creative expression that can be a cool fragranced statement piece in your home.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This journey has been everything short of a smooth road.
As a business there’s always going to be SOMETHING and that something can be any and everything. One of the biggest hurdles was re-launching at the peak of a worldwide pandemic and navigating this interesting space.
A big hurdle was handling supply shortages and being able to pivot when necessary.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in candle-making and home decor. I’m mostly known for having a minimalist and aesthetically pleasing candles.
What I am most proud of is that I do everything myself. From eye-catching product photography to marketing and creative graphics, I make it and do it all myself. Which makes me proud to be able to transfer my creative ideas and energy in a way that can be seen by the masses.
What sets me apart from others is that I am able to use candle vessels as a way to execute and express my creative visions and use them as an art form and not just a candle that looks like every other one on the market.
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is connecting to like-minded people who enjoy creativity, artistic expression, comfort, luxury, and all things sexy.
Mostly because that is who I am and what I like to embody. I create from the heart and it’s nice to see that people enjoy what my heart has to offer.
It’s beautiful to craft and create for a community of people who feel the same way and express themselves in big and small details as I would while also inviting those that may not join the party.
