Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Jr Mbeng.
Kevin, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I grew up knowing how lucky I was! I am the second oldest of three sisters and a brother! With an Ambassador for a dad and a Dentist for a mom, I always knew I had big shoes to fill and the support system to enable me to do so! To this day, I am grateful for my parents for instilling in me the ability to be confident in my own skin, regardless of the pigmentation!
I was born and raised in London, England but I am a proud Cameroonian! England shaped me to be the individual I am today and I met lifelong friends from there! We eventually moved to Canada as a family, which is where I graduated from Ottawa University in Business. Directly after graduating, I started managing the leading Nightlife and Entertainment venues in the city. We hosted events, orchestrated galas, festivals and concerts!
From the connections established from there, I started collaborating with entrepreneurs, small businesses, restaurants, etc. to help build their brand or online presence. It has always been an aspiration of mine to be someone that can help facilitate another individuals dream to come into fruition.

After ten memorable years in Canada and consulting my loved ones, I decided to embark on the journey to move to my DREAM city, Miami! I moved in November 2019 and I have loved every moment of it thus far!
Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road! Growing up being accustomed to uprooting the family and moving to a new country or city was nerve-racking. You dread goodbyes and you build a stronger wall to let people in each time.

Looking back, I can now see the numerous benefits I got from that entire experience!
It strengthened my character, cultured me and taught me to be independent.

Social Giveaways is a Social Media Growth Company. We manage global celebrity marketing campaigns by offering exclusive opportunities to influencers and brands. The goal is to gain exposure globally through organic growth and increase the value of their client’s digital assets. I am the Director of Sales for the company and the founders, London Summers and Ryan Pownall, are two of my close friends! We have been working together on different projects for over a decade!

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Miami has been an incredible city thus far! The variety of cultures keeps me endlessly intrigued. The beaches are exquisite, the food options overwhelming and the people are so entertaining!
My line of work requires me to continually network with amazing people. Miami makes that feel less like a job and more like a blessing. Although I am still relatively new, I strongly recommend starting out here. It’s hard not to be inspired when you’re surrounded by such beauty.
