Today we’d like to introduce you to Katherine Vergara.

Hi Katherine, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In March 2014, I decided to change my eating habits to improve my physique. After two months, I set the goal to compete in the NPC Bikini division to be held in September 2014, I wanted to take my body to the next level. After several months of following a strict diet and exhaustive training, I achieved my goal and also placed in the Top 5 of the competition.

Unfortunately, I developed an eating disorder after competing. This happened as a result of my ignorance and the many diets full of restrictions that I followed since I decided to change my lifestyle. I found myself caught in a cycle, unsure of what to do, but not wanting to return to a diet full of rules. In search of other methods, I obtained among books, scientific studies, social networks, and the internet a sea of literature on “Flexible Dieting”; this transition was the key piece to help me regain control over my nutrition and physical and emotional stability.

As a result of my incredible experience, I began to share through my social media this impressive lifestyle that saved my life, and this would be the starting point to start my help towards other people busting myths and improving their quality of life.

With my studies in Chemistry, certifications, and personal experiences, I transformed my passion into my business: Katherine Vergara Fitness. My mission is to help men and women reach their best version, both physically and mentally, through a science-based method healthily and sustainably over time.

Later on, I founded KV Fitness Apparel, an activewear brand for men and women whose mission is to create high-quality pieces that can be used in everyday life, not just for physical activities. It doesn’t matter if you’re going to have a drink with your friends, exercise, go shopping, or go to work; all of our products will make you look and feel amazing.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The fitness industry is very competitive, so I think the biggest challenge is knowing how to differentiate yourself from the rest.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Katherine Vergara Fitness?
I am a Health and Fitness Coach specializing in Sports Nutrition, Training, and Conditioning, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the University of Michigan.

My mission is to help men and women reach their best version, both physically and mentally, through a science-based method healthily and sustainably over time. I offer unique and personalized plans that will adapt to the client’s needs, no matter what their starting point or goal is.

Do you have any advice for those just starting?
1. Set your priorities and restructure them when needed so you can achieve a healthy work-life balance.

2. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it.

3. Learn how to delegate.
