Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremiah Stlouis
Hi Jeremiah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been attracted to the arts, ever since I was young. I grew up drawing and for most of my teens into adulthood I was a skateboarder. I had been introduced to most of the people I know through that scene especially in Broward county. The skate scene was always so welcoming and just open minded. There is no color or shape or anything to skaters. You are just a skater. As I got older I started opening my mind to more experiences and ended up going to my first EDM festival in 2022 (Ultra) in Miami. Which I had never experienced anything like that in my life. So I had really taken a liking to the scene and music and had started going to more shows (shout out PubDubz) in Ft Lauderdale. Super similar to the skate scene in the fact that they’re just very accepting and open minded. Which had let me to meeting some artist here in Florida through OneVibe. From there I started Dj’ing in my living room to playing local shows. Then I started producing my own music about halfway through 2023 where I found my space. I’m still learning so much but Florida really is the kind of place where you can meet so many people from so many different places and just grow as an artist.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As far as Dj’ing I would say it has been a pretty smooth road. I kind of met the right people at the right time. I’m pretty sociable, so it’s easy for me to make friends. The bass scene in Florida has it’s own quirks but with applications like Discord most big producers/ dj’s have a space to access and learn from. The only real adjusting would be to the social media aspect. You really need to be on top of everything.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My day job is credit repair and financial advice. I help people recover and learn from their past mistakes. I specialize in financial recovery. I’m most proud of just having the opportunity to help people see there is a chance to recover from things they might not have otherwise known they could recover from. What set’s me apart is the transparency I give to my customers. Being honest can go a long way.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
The most important thing I learned from Covid would be to rely on myself for fulfilment. I don’t need anyone else to feel secure in my decisions and choices.
