Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Hansen.
Jennifer, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have had a passion for skincare ever since I suffered from acne as a teenager. Throughout that time, I tried everything on the market, including prescription creams and antibiotics but I did not see any great results. I later discovered the power of skin resurfacing treatments combined with a daily skincare regimen, which provides relief from acne and other skin conditions. I have been a licensed aesthetician for 10+ years and I am determined in helping my clients taking their skin to the next level. I started my career in skincare in 2008. I have worked for several med-spas and doctor offices treating all types of skin conditions.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Most of my clients are wonderful, so eager to listen, learn and leave my sessions happy. With skincare, it is very much like going to the gym, the sessions have to be consistent, home care is very important and real results take time. Some of the struggles along the way has been that some clients were expecting the same results as going to a hairstylist where the difference is instant.
Skincare by Jen – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My company is small; it’s just me; however, I absolutely love what I do and take much pride in doing treatments. I offer skin resurfacing treatments with little or no downtime for all skin types. I also do body treatments such as lifting, fat reduction, cellulite treatments and pain management. I specialize in microdermabrasion, derma planing, facials, peels, micro-needling, radiofrequency, LED light therapy, skin tag removal and scar reduction.
I love making my clients feel excited and happy about their skin; beautiful glowing skin is the best reward for me. The best reactions I have ever gotten are from my young teenage acne clients; it is so exciting to help them feel good about their skin.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I recently partnered with a Belgian skincare company, Nannic. This company exists in 34 countries and has been very successful in Europe for the past 20 years and I have now been able to bring the skincare line and their equipment to the United States. I have been looking for an exclusive skincare line for years and am so excited to introduce Nannic USA to this part of the world.
