Jamir, it’s been too long since we last connected. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with our community again. Some readers might have missed our prior conversations, so maybe you can kick things off for us with a quick intro?
My name is Jamir Miller, and I am the owner and founder of Righteously Unique Boutique, LLC. Righteously Unique Boutique is an online clothing store dedicated to providing “unique fashions for unique women.” Since launching my store back in August of 2019, I’ve definitely been enjoying and loving my life as an entrepreneur. When I’m not managing my store, I enjoy working as a full-time elementary teacher.
What is it like owning a store and managing it yourself?
Owning and managing a store by myself is definitely hard work. Extended days and hours are required just to keep the store running smoothly. Unlike a company with multiple employees who are all delegated to certain task, it is solely my job to make sure each individual task is taken care of. Everyday is not a good day, but seeing the smiles on my customer’s faces makes it all worth it.
How do you choose the items you sell?
I personally choose items that I like and find to be trendy. I established my store because I wanted to provide women like myself with items that were trendy, chic, and that would help boost their confidence. I also ask myself these questions when I’m choosing specific items: Where is she going? What’s her income? and What is her style? I try to take all those things into consideration. Our style consist of an “everyday” style, a formal style, and also a semi-formal style. My goal is the make sure that our looks capture our target audience.
What makes your boutique stand out from others?
I believe what makes my boutique stand out from others would be our ability to provide unique and fashionable apparel to all women no matter their size or shape. There’s not too many stores where women can shop and often find their size and their own unique style.
What can we expect from your store in the future?
As time progresses, you can expect to see our brand expand as it relates to all aspects of our store. Also, you can expect to see us expand our newest collection “The Utique Collection, and develop it into a store.
