Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Rosario.
Jamie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I moved to FL ten years ago, knowing I wanted to enter the beauty industry. I worked several customer service positions and not until 2016 did I take the plunge to enter beauty schools of America, praying this big leap of Faith would be everything I have been able to experience and its been an incredible journey.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Smooth would be an understatement; It has been so rewarding and yet so challenging. I am a mother of two and have them looking up to me knowing that I want and wanted to provide much more for them. I literally quit my customer service job of five years to start beauty school. I knew my passion was and is real and I had to know that this was either going to work as I gave every inch of who I am to this industry. Hustling to get kids to school on time and even somedays having to have them in class was me is something I will never forget. Its a true testimony to God knowing that my faith propelled such changes for my family.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the JRossBeauty story. Tell us more about the business.
JRossBeauty specializes in all textures ranging from haircutting-shaping-color transformations – reviving and repairing hair that has been pushed passed its natural state. I offer an array of treatments for bond strengthening, smoothing, or enhancing natural curl patters. My clients know me for the amount of detail I give to each specific need; there are no easy way outs when it comes to a service with J.Ross I will ask all the questions to ensure we get you on a fabulous hair journey! Being passionate about who, what, why and where is most deff my signature, I want to understand the need and provide a proper hair regimen to ensure long-lasting hair love.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I can say Luck is relative to whom and what you believe in. As for me, I believe in the power of God, Faith, and extending it forward. I am a then girl now a woman from Paterson, NJ, who couldn’t have known the many lives I would get to meet and share my story as I hear their stories and travel the world through their eyes. Incredible is exactly what it feels like, I get to not just do hair and be creative but I get to make friends along the journey. MY faith has definitely allowed me to keep an open mind, heart, and eyes so I can continue to create and keep a humble character as I keep leaping in faith.
