Today we’d like to introduce you to Iñaki Echeverría.
Hi Iñaki, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
Well, I started my career when I was 9 years old. That was the first time I got on a stage. From that moment I fall in love with it, and I couldn’t do another thing. The stage or the set is my sense of living. That’s where I feel alive and free. I play violin, now I’m learning guitar, as you see I don’t stop I’m always studying and looking for new ways to express my feelings and tell stories. I Study a lot as I told you before. I’d been blessed with the chance of studying my complete career in two fabulous schools and then complement them with lessons from the best masters of the world. However, for me has the same importance living intensely. Because for telling stories somehow you have to understand them and pretty much get inside them. For me an artist must be curious, has to have the need of discover new things, new lives, open their minds and tell stories of those characters, people that can’t speak or nobody listen them. That’s our duty, our responsibility in this fucked up world, help consciences to change, love more and hate less.
Right now, I’m in Albany Georgia. I’m travelling alone with my guitar. And it’s so impressive the stories I got during this weekend. Tomorrow I’ll hit the road again.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Obviously not. It’s a tough decision. I had been more than a year away from my family, living in different countries. You do too much work in silence and completely alone. Definitely is not a smooth road, is very rough, but when you have that kind of love, that necessity, I mean, I don’t think you chose this career, I think this career chooses you and you have to survive in that rollercoaster. Aswell is the best thing that can happens to any human bean. This road has so many ups and downs, so many curves, but when you resist it and learn how to deal with it, this career brings you the best sceneries and the best feelings. I wouldn’t change my life with anybody’s.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an actor. And well I started working this year out of my country (Spain). I had the chance of staying in Mexico, great country with a huge industry. I worked in a chapter for Disney and some chapters in a soap Opera in Televisa. So was a good year. Also, I did couple fashion catwalks, magazines, a campaign… So, I’m so excited about how everything is coming out, I’m only 23 and I’m definitely on the road of pursuing all my goals and dreams. I’m sure I’m gonna make it.
What matters most to you?
Keep my mind on the right lane. We get so much exposure to many Noes, and we live under really extreme situations. So, for make it happen, all the stuff I told you before, you have to do it. All the sensitiveness we need for our work we have to keep it there and don’t let it make us fade away.
