Today we’d like to introduce you to Heavy Game.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I’m 24 years old and come from a big Haitian family. I grew up in-between Dade and Broward, Experienced things that could be difficult for some people but having a father that gave me game at a young age helped me understand my situation and approach life differently. Coming up around my older cousins made me mature faster, so I didn’t like hanging with kids my age. I know a lot of people, but I don’t have a lot of friends,
Please tell us about your art.
I’m a rapper and I make music for people who want game. I feel like growing up the way I did helped me see things, and I just want to share my experiences creatively. My music authentic, I like when the ones close to me hear my lyrics and give me that reaction where they know what situation I was talking about or they just know wassup. I get my inspiration from other artists and my own work, I just like coming up with clever ways to send a message.
Choosing a creative or artistic path comes with many financial challenges. Any advice for those struggling to focus on their artwork due to financial concerns?
Get it how you live. I understand my potential, so I don’t take the kinda risks I use to. I see a lot of artists’ pasts been catching up with them so I keep my hands clean. So some advice would be… be careful, hahaha.
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
My music will be on major platforms on March 14th, 2019. My latest project ‘FREE GAME 2″ will be distributed on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, etc. My older work is on Soundcloud. You could support my work by sharing my music with your friends, lock in my social media reposting, commenting, even just liking. I’ll have merchandise available so you can support that way too.
