My journey with Island Massage Miami started 14 years ago, with a simple passion for helping people feel better. From the beginning, my goal has always been to create a space where clients can step away from the outside world and fully relax, mentally, emotionally, and physically.
What began as a small dream of going to a client’s home has grown into two beautiful locations in Miami’s Design District and Midtown. Over the years, I’ve been blessed with loyal clients, some of whom I’ve served for more than 10 years. Their trust and continued support have helped me build a reputation for care, consistency, and excellence, reflected today in my 38 five-star Google reviews.
For me, massage is more than a business. It’s a calling. I’m passionate about healing, connection, and creating an atmosphere where every person who walks in feels seen, cared for, and renewed. As Island Massage Miami grows, my mission remains the same: to serve more people, provide deeper relief, and continue offering a peaceful escape in the middle of busy Miami life.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has definitely not been a smooth road. In the beginning, I didn’t have a storefront or a steady flow of clients. I was working out of my car, waiting hours between appointments, and dealing with constant setbacks. I’ll never forget the day my car broke down right after a session; I sat inside for hours before finally calling my brother to pick me up. Those experiences were tough, but they taught me resilience and kept my passion alive.
Even now, with two spa locations, the journey still comes with challenges. One of the hardest parts is finding like-minded therapists who share the same heart for healing and professionalism. But every time I see a client smile after a session, it reminds me why I do this. Their support and trust make every struggle worth it, and I continue to pray and work toward even greater expansion so I can serve even more people.

My advice for anyone starting out is to stay patient, stay persistent, and stay passionate. When I first began, I didn’t have a storefront and sometimes had to wait for hours in my car between clients. There were days when nothing seemed to go right, but those moments taught me resilience and reminded me why I chose this path.
I also wish I had known how important it is to build a strong, like-minded team early on. Having skilled, dedicated people around you makes a huge difference, not just for your business, but for the clients you serve. Most importantly, never lose sight of why you started—your passion for helping people will carry you through the toughest days.
