Today we’d like to introduce you to G Pari$.
G Pari$, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
It all started in high school. I made my first song to Jay-Z’s beat Dead Presidents. From that point, I took a break because I didn’t really know what to do next so I just posted that song on SoundCloud and didn’t think anything of it. I used to constantly watch XXL Freshman Cyphers, Hot97 Freestyles, and Sway in the morning all the time. I knew I that one day I’d be on one of those radio shows. I kind of used that as motivation to keep going when it comes to my music because it’s not that easy. I’ve been doing this for about four years maybe three.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been a rough time. Where I’m from people don’t like supporting each other. They rather have the glory for themselves. That’s a huge issue in palm beach. Getting my music out into the world is probably the hardest part. Because people will honestly look you in your face and she fake love.
Please tell us more about your music, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
My ability to make music from a real place. Not a lot of people do that. They just rap because they wanna be rich. And I get it. Throughout my life, I’ve just been trying to figure out who I was. It took some time and I found bits and pieces. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not knocking anyone else’s hustle. I’ve made music that I wasn’t being myself but I realized that wasn’t me.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Honestly, I don’t know I feel like I’ve been doing well based on luck. Not too many people do the things I’m doing. I’m not doing big shows and stuff. But I feel like my luck will bring something big my way.
