Hi Francisco, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have been in the world of communications for as long as I can remember. It started in college, with a Global Business and Marketing degree. Thanks to that, I gained great experience in different industries (Entertainment, Hospitality, Spa and Wellness, Ads). At every industry my goal was the same, to help and to achieve the best results. Every skill, every learning. Every piece of advice from other great entrepreneurs made me the version I am today. Today I cover real estate and help people not only with their buying and selling needs, but also through advising and consulting. I was able to follow another passion of mine in the entertainment and marketing industry as a commercial model and actor completing campaigns for brands like Disney, Pirtek, Youfit, Universal, ESPN, Kohler, among others. What i bring to the table? It doesn’t matters if its on real estate, or consulting, or acting is an attitude of we can and we will make this happen with the best attitude. At the end, is about having fun and enjoying the process. At least that is where I am today.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not being smooth… there was a lot of uncertainty when I jumped from a steady career in Sales for a big hospitality company to pursue a self-employed path. The number one thing was fear of the unknown. Fear of the “What if it goes wrong”. I learnt to overcome my own objections the same way I help others overcome their own fears… I was more afraid of the “what if I don’t do it…”. At the end, choosing my own path was the happiness and the fulfillment I seek. Today, looking back I realize that even though is hard work, and the uncertainty some times doesn’t goes away, I still chose what makes me happy and I can still help other people reach their goals and bring them happiness.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Besides a real estate advisor, I am an accomplished commercial model and actor. I signed with several agencies across Florida and I have a management team in NY with one great management firm that keeps believing in my talent and reach. What I do is more than just acting… when I take a role, I am aiming to portray what the brand wants to portray. Each brand has a different feeling, they want to get to the emotional side… and the more human the brand, the happier I am working for it. I am known for the happiness I bring to set and to be able to coach and advise other young actors into the industry if is something they truly want to pursue. One campaign I was happy to support this year was the Shark Week campaign, as when I was younger I was always watching it at TV from my room in my country… Today I can say I supported that same event several years later for an organization I respect and believe in. What sets me apart is that I always find the good in times of adversity, and I like to push through and bring people with me in the path to success.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck is a determinant sometimes, however every role is different, some of them showed me a lot of discipline. Discipline and crazily believing in yourself is the real luck. The same discipline I transfer to my real estate practice. Some call times are as early as 3:00 am and some others even start the day before. Being able to adapt quickly and pivot, also is transferred to my real estate practice when a client needs faster than usual responses, or even in the middle of a closing. I see my professional ecosystem as one, and I am always looking for ways to interconnect them and make everything more efficient. Is not about luck, is about how you use it on your favor to achieve the best outcomes.
