Today we’d like to introduce you to Flor Elizabeth Lugo Faria.
Hi Flor, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I came to Miami 9 years ago from Venezuela, till that moment my career was based on accounting, but art and makeup had always been my passions since I was a child, when I arrived I specialized in SPFx and arts, in my first job as a makeup artist I polish my technique on beauty makeup, one day the first opportunity working with a celebrity photoshoot with Willy Martin changed the path of my career, then I become one of the makeup artist desire for photography makeup.
Seven years ago, I decided to start one of my heart projects and mix my love for art and makeup, creating a series of body paint works of art of the artists that influenced me, like Van Goth Egon Schiele, Rembrandt, etc, the past month I had my first art exposition on a gallery in downtown Lea Collours. I have now a production company that is dedicated to brand photography, where everything that you need to express your brand through an image is created.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In the beginning Emeterio in a very competitive market was a challenge, but I counted on many people who helped me in this path, always believing that if you do what you love the ways are going to become straight, god will provide, all that you have to do is believe in that and yourself.
What does success mean to you?
Doing what you love, and never feel that you are working. I’ve been known for the way that I do the skins and how I can create everything on a canvas as complex as a human being.
