Today we’d like to introduce you to Erika, Jessica, and Veronica Greer.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Erika, Jessica, and Veronica. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Before “Miami Party Rental & Decór,” there was “Ekas Events” which was owned by Erika, the oldest of the sisters. It was a smaller company with only a couple of events a month which went on for a couple of years. After having accumulated so much decor filled in Erika’s guest room in her home, and after some convincing from Jessica the middle sister, they decided to invest into purchasing a large amount of inventory to expand the business. What turned into filling one storage unit, then two, then three, and renting a van for transporting on the weekends, soon turned into renting a 3,000 sqft warehouse and buying their own box truck. One year later, the business has boomed! The younger sister Veronica made a decision to invest her full time into running the business on a daily to keep our customers content. MPR&D now has everything from tables, chairs, backdrops, tents, bounce houses and decor. So, with Erika’s decorative visions, Jessica’s investment decisions, and Veronica’s hard work and time, they have been able to grow what was once a small company into what is now a well-established business!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s not easy running a business. As mentioned, we are three sisters so you can already imagine we don’t always agree on things. In some cases, being sisters makes things easier and others harder but nevertheless, we are very close to one another and have a great relationship. Also, Erika and Jessica both have young children so sometimes the mom guilt kicks in when we have to work events on the weekends. But at the end of the day, we are doing what we love and doing it for them.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
At MPR&D, we do everything from birthdays to baby showers to weddings even intimate dinner settings! We are a one-stop-shop! We are known for our vast unique inventory such as backdrops, furniture, and even smaller props and decor. We have always received compliments on our consistent communication with our customers. When you call MPR&D, you’re not going to get a receptionist your going to get to talk to one of the owners directly. So, whether it’s Erika, Jessica or Veronica, we guarantee you’re in good hands.
What are your plans for the future?
The future is exciting! We are currently transforming our warehouse and showroom to create a place where our clients can come and see all of the unique inventory we have to offer for their event! We hope to continue to grow and become a primary vendor for other event planners and venues! Our official Grand Opening is expected around mid-August!
