Today we’d like to introduce you to Emilio Warwar.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Emilio. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My Name is Emilio Warwar, I was born and raised in The Beautiful Miami, FL to Cuban/Syrian parents. Growing up, as a kid my parents always had photo and video cameras which we would take on our trips. It is since the day I learned what a camera does, that I knew it was what I would want to do as I grew older. I pursued my passion in photography and began to freelance on my own, venturing into different kinds of photography. I kept working a fulltime job and working with my father on the weekends in order to buy the tools I needed which can get very expensive as more equipment was required for different projects.
I enjoy working in all types of photography and my gear and I am always ready for any opportunity to take photos, even though some extremes like my gear being strapped to the back of my kayak!! Photography is a consistently challenging line of hard work and dedication. It is a series of trials and errors to perfect your shots. It won’t happen overnight, transition takes time, that time allows experience to builds us, make us stronger, smarter, and eventually master my skills as a photographer to produce stunning photos and videos for people to enjoy.
As a Photographer, I try to discover & seize the things that go unnoticed to the human eye or mind. I always keep in mind to treat every moment as fleeting, we are afraid by time, how things change, or disappear, the way it moves on, and its why I try to preserve time. We take a Picture to stop time and catch this fraction of a moment and make it last a lifetime.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No Road has ever been smooth. There are many problems that arise and many temptations and distractions to keep you from pursuing your dreams. One important thing is to always believe in yourself and what you are doing, and stay focused. We often go through parts of life where the odds have been against us in many situations. Pushing through those odds with a clear & positive mindset and keeping your eyes on the prize is a must! My father was an immigrant in this country in the 80s, and he came here with no money or a place to stay, and with patience, hard work and dedication, he started his own company and became successful slowly but surely. He taught, and helped me build my great work ethic from an early age. It’s all trial and error, never be afraid to fail. Enjoy your failings as much as your winnings and become better every time for it, “failure is the fog from which we glimpse triumph”.
Use all of your heart and passion on your pursuit of happiness and know that the universe works in mysterious ways and life has a funny way of working out. Make the best of each and every situation in this life. You may be going through something difficult but always reflect and remember that others are on harder roads and have pulled through. Give thanks each and everyday to all that you do have and all that we forget to appreciate in our daily lives for we have been blessed with things in each of our lives that someone else in this world is missing.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
Photography to me at it’s best provides perspective to the world at large and all its wonder & diversity. It’s about having fun capturing priceless memories I can always physically look back to. I am driven by adventure & experiences which usually come with opportunities to capture some amazing shots as well as memories. I always love a challenge and enjoy learning new skills. My work consists of all types of photography and services ranging from drone footage, photobooth, videomaking, and most of all, what I love to see is my work come to life selling my prints on Canvas, acrylic, metal and glass prints! In 2016 I decided to begin a new idea for my photography in sending my work to be printed on canvas, metals, acrylics and selling them to homes and offices. At the time, I was working at a law firm, which was the first office to purchase my prints, and from then on, more and more people have purchased my prints which turned out to be a successful idea for me. This year I plan to present my first exhibition with some of my favorite work printed for everyone to see and buy as well as my new idea of printing on clothes!
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I think a characteristic that helps me with my success is that I am a very outgoing person, and always conscious of others around me while doing what I love most. As a Photographer, I like to build healthy and positive relationships with my clients and those working with me. Planning and communication with clients & subjects is important in order to have a good vibe going which in turn helps the shoot go smooth and easy and creating great shots. Communication is key to better understand what is in our minds in order to capture and produce the shot we are visualizing. Photography isn’t just what I do, its what I love, & it is because of that love that I work so relentlessly to capture amazing images, and in turn mastering all aspects in the world of photography little by little.
