Today we’d like to introduce you to Emeril McCutcheon.
Hi Emeril, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey in wellness almost a decade ago, driven by a deep curiosity about how the body truly moves and heals. Early on, I realized I didn’t just want to help people “work out” I wanted to help them move better, feel stronger, and build confidence in their bodies for life.
Over the years, I invested heavily in education and experience, working with everyday professionals as well as high-level athletes across multiple sports. That exposure taught me that performance, health, and longevity all come down to the same foundations: quality movement, strength, recovery, and consistency.
As my career evolved, so did my mission. I founded Live In Motion to bring together strength training, movement integrity, and lifestyle coaching into one holistic approach especially for people who are busy, driven, and want sustainable results, not quick fixes.
Today, I coach both in person and remotely, helping individuals build resilient bodies and disciplined habits that support their goals inside and outside the gym. I’m still a student of the craft, still refining the process, and committed to growing something that genuinely helps people move, live, and lead better.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like most meaningful paths, it’s been full of challenges, pivots, and hard lessons.
One of the biggest struggles was learning that being great at the craft isn’t the same as being great at building a business. Early on, I overworked, undercharged, and tried to help everyone often at the expense of my own sustainability. That led to burnout and forced me to rethink how I structured my time, energy, and boundaries.
Another challenge was navigating uncertainty changes in locations, income fluctuations, and periods where growth felt slow despite doing “everything right.” Those moments tested my patience and discipline more than my skill.
There were also personal seasons that required me to rebuild mentally, physically, and spiritually. I had to learn how to slow down, refocus, and trust the process rather than rush outcomes.
Looking back, those struggles shaped the way I coach today. They taught me resilience, clarity, and the importance of building systems that support long-term health not just for my clients, but for myself as well.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Live In Motion is a movement centered wellness company built on the belief that strength, integrity, and longevity should go hand in hand. We don’t just train bodies we help people rebuild trust in how they move, train, and live.
Our work sits at the intersection of strength training, movement quality, and lifestyle coaching. We specialize in helping busy professionals particularly women in mid-life navigate strength training in a way that supports hormonal health, joint integrity, and long-term resilience. Every program is intentional, structured, and rooted in education, not trends.
What sets Live In Motion apart is our emphasis on movement integrity. Before intensity, before volume, before aesthetics we prioritize how the body moves. That philosophy allows our clients to train hard and sustainably, without breaking down or relying on quick fixes.
We’re also known for a highly personalized approach. Whether working with a client one-on-one, in small groups, or remotely, we build systems around their life not the other way around. Training, recovery, and daily habits are designed to integrate seamlessly into demanding schedules.
Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is the culture. Live In Motion stands for discipline without ego, excellence without extremes, and progress rooted in consistency. We’re not chasing hype or shortcuts we’re building a brand that people trust with their health.
What I want readers to know is this: Live In Motion is for people who are ready to invest in themselves in a meaningful way. If you value education, structure, and long-term results not just a workout this is where we do our best work.
What’s next?
Looking ahead, my focus is on building Live In Motion into a scalable, trusted wellness ecosystem rather than just a training service. That means expanding our remote coaching and education offerings so more people can access high-quality movement and strength guidance regardless of location.
I’m especially focused on deepening our work with women in mid-life by creating structured programs that support strength, mobility, and long-term health through different life stages. This includes refining our core programs, developing educational resources, and building community around sustainable habits.
On the business side, I’m working toward strategic partnerships and select corporate wellness initiatives that align with our values bringing movement, strength, and recovery into environments where people spend most of their time.
Long term, the vision is to establish a physical Live In Motion spaces that integrates diagnostics, training, and recovery a place where people don’t just work out, but learn how to care for their bodies holistically.
What I’m most looking forward to is growth with intention expanding the brand without compromising the integrity, quality, or trust that Live In Motion is built on.
