Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Vega.
Christopher, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Born and raised from the Magic City itself Miami, Florida and that of Hispanic descent from Nicaragua and Puerto Rico, I bring my roots to the element of my craft. Beginning at age 15 was when I discovered the art of producing music from a desktop computer. Having discovered and achieving the ability to compose instruments together was life-changing! It wasn’t until early 2014 that I began my professional career – From DJing at the most popular venues and nightclubs in Miami – Heart Nightclub, Whisper at the W, Local bars in Wynwood, to pool parties at infamous hotels and resorts in the heart of Miami Beach such as Shore Club. With my passion for music, I began working hard on building my sound and brand. With releases on Robbie Rivera’s Label Juicy Music, Thomas Gold’s (AU-1) Element 79 Records, Black Lizard Records, & Get Down Recordings, to name a few. Gaining support from the likes of Kryder, Cato Anaya, Oscar G, Robbie Rivera, Thomas Gold, & many more. Today, I continue to work on new music! Most importantly, continue to grow my brand and spread my sound globally!
Has it been a smooth road?
So far, the road has not been easy. Plenty of obstacles along the way. Like every other producer or DJ, I’m sure they’ve gone through it, if not, worse.
Everyone lives their own life – everyone has responsibilities. Whether its a day job, family, kids, finances, etc.
I definitely have gone through some challenges. Luckily, I’m able to overcome them and continue a positive mind.
Music definitely helps me keep sane.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I’m a DJ and producer. I specialize in Tech-House/House Music. I’ve also DJ’ed at the most popular venues and nightclubs in Miami – Heart Nightclub, Whisper at the W, Local bars in Wynwood, to pool parties at infamous hotels and resorts in the heart of Miami Beach such as Shore Club.
I’m most proud of the support I’ve received. Especially “Ven Pa Ca” (Get Down Recordings) being featured on Kryteria Radio and Thomas Gold and Robbie Rivera playing “Move It To The Beat” & “La Vida” on their radioshows.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Over the next decade or so this industry is only getting bigger. Producers all over the world are making great music! Genres will trend as they are trending now.
