Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominique Leveille.
Hi Dominique, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I began my path with a deep desire to create a safe space where people could feel truly seen and supported without judgment. As a graduate of Nova Southeastern University with a doctoral degree in Family Therapy, I was able to shape that vision into reality by opening my own clinic, where clients can receive care that meets them where they are.
My passion for this work comes from my own experiences. Growing up as a child of divorced parents, I learned early on how difficult it can be to know who to trust. Too often, I felt that what I shared with adults could be turned against me, so I learned to keep my struggles inside, but that wasn’t healthy. It wasn’t until one of my teachers became a safe and trusted figure in my life that I understood the power of vulnerability and the importance of having someone you can rely on.
That realization inspired me to dedicate my life to becoming that supportive presence for others. Today, my greatest joy comes from helping individuals and families build trust, develop healthier ways of relating, and discover solutions that bring healing and growth.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Growing up with an undiagnosed learning disability made school especially difficult for me. I often had to work twice as hard to keep up, and for a long time I struggled with feelings of frustration and self-doubt. But instead of letting those challenges hold me back, I used them as motivation. They taught me resilience, creativity, and determination, qualities that continue to guide me as a therapist and business owner. What once felt like an obstacle ultimately helped shape the way I connect with and support others, especially those who feel misunderstood or overlooked.
We’ve been impressed with BlissTherapy.Me, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At BlissTherapy.Me, we are dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate mental health care for individuals, couples, and families. Our mission is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood and empowered to grow. We specialize in a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, EMDR, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). This allows us to tailor treatment to meet each client’s unique needs.
What sets us apart is the heart behind our work. We don’t just focus on symptoms; we focus on the person, their story, and the legacy they want to build. Many of our clients tell us that our approach feels collaborative, culturally sensitive, and grounded in trust. As a brand, I’m most proud that BlissTherapy.me has become a place where clients from all walks of life, children, adults, couples, and families can feel both challenged and supported on their healing journey.
We also offer supervision for registered interns, training for professionals, and community-based workshops that bring therapy principles into everyday life. At BlissTherapy.Me, our goal is not only to help people cope, but to empower them to thrive all within a space where judgment is left at the door.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My advice for finding a mentor or building strong networks is to look for someone you can truly trust — someone who has your best interests at heart and is invested in your growth, not just their own agenda. The right mentor isn’t necessarily the most well-known or the most accomplished; it’s the person who listens, challenges you, and helps you see possibilities you may not have considered.
For me, what has worked well is being intentional about relationships. I’ve sought out people who not only had expertise but also shared values, and who made space for honest conversations. Networking, at its best, is about creating genuine connections, not just exchanging cards or contacts, but building relationships that are mutually supportive and meaningful.
