Today we’d like to introduce you to Devin G. Young.
Devin G. , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Devin G. Young was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He was a standout Athlete, receiving the honor of being one of New Jersey’s Top 100 Athletes in his senior year of high school.
In 2014, he earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ. Upon graduating with his undergraduate degree, Devin went on to pursue a master’s degree in Public Administration and Public Affairs at Rutgers University – Newark. While attending graduate school, he interned with Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman’s District Office and worked for the New Jersey Office of Legislative Services under Governor Phil Murphy. In his spare time, Devin worked as the Director of Operations for Stand Out in a Crowd Independent Recording Group. Here is where he gained his core interest in being a part of the industry.
In 2018, he obtained his Master’s, Rutgers University – Newark, graduating with High Honors. After obtaining his graduate degree, Devin decided to continue his education and began his law school journey just two months later. He moved to Central Florida to attend law school at Florida A&M University College of Law. While in law school, he has continued growing his network and professional career. Developing invaluable connections to people in a variety of industries. Unsure of what exactly he wanted to do in the industry, Devin founded DGY Consulting, a non-profit organization, geared towards assisting entrepreneurs in impoverished neighborhoods.
Devin always had a passion for leadership and giving back to those around him. He was elected President of his 1L Class, “If When How Reproductive Justice Organization” for the 2020-2021 academic year and representative for Women’s Law Caucus, American Civil Liberties Union, and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. When not working, Devin played International Football and coached Varsity Football at Ocoee High School.
In the same week of his Graduation, Devin had been featured in ESPN’s Top Plays Countdown. This propelled him to continue to find a way to combine his interests with his expertise.
Hence, DGY Enterprises (DGY Ent.) was founded, which consists of a Sports, Entertainment & Consulting Department. DGY Ent. has helped empower individuals and companies along their journey to reach new heights. Focused on providing an equal opportunity to those frequently overlooked in an effort to drive change. Devin realized that there was no issue, in regards to talent or lack thereof, but instead the lack of access and accommodations for those who differ from the traditional avenues.
To Date, DGY has made connections in communities worldwide, with each interaction cultivating a unique relationship, with bilateral assistance, resulting in a conglomerate that brings forth new components to all organizations involved. The dynamic of the relationship, coupled with a distinct action plan, DGY ensures unwavering, individualized support every step of the way.
As President and CEO of DGY Enterprises, now in its 5th year of business, Devin continues to strive for more. Providing services in Artist & Music Management, Business Consulting, and a newly registered Sports Agency. As of 2025, DGY Sports is a National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) Certified organization helping college athletes navigate their way to the NFL. Devin is a representative and advocate for football players, primarily in contract negotiations and career management. He acts as a liaison between players, teams, and the league to secure the best possible financial and professional opportunities for his clients.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Countless struggles, between exams and requirements to comply with the services provided.
Financial Hurdles, as each level of business requires more, there’s never enough, and always a larger goal to obtain.
Navigating a business without a playbook, just making things happen, finding mentors, and opportunities to continue to evolve in the industry.
Work-life balance, when your Job is your lifestyle, your lifestyle begins to get blurry, and working takes over.
Managing expectations of others, being in a position where you can assist someone with obtaining a dream or goal of there’s but at the same time knowing that everyone doesn’t make it and there may be times to re-route or change directions.
Personal Struggles, being your family’s go-to and the nucleus of your entire family, everyone’s problems are in some way yours as well.
Retiring from Football and losing the routine, lifestyle, and all the things that come with being involved with the sport.

Business: Provides expert advice and guidance to organizations to help improve performance and achieve goals. Analyze a company’s operations, identify problems, and develop strategies to enhance efficiency, profitability, and overall success in a variety of areas.
Music: A full-service organization, supporting our diverse roster of talent via artist management, music publishing, touring, production, strategic brand development, and beyond. Since its founding in 2022.
Sports: NFL agency known for representing football players with a range of services, including career management, contract negotiations, endorsements review, media relations, marketing, and post-career counseling.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Not sure if luck is a real thing, when I was younger, I read a quote that stated “Luck is when preparation meets opportunity,” and ever since then just believed that in some way, if I continued to work at it, things would eventually start falling into place. Even when things are going badly, I like to view them as a redirection towards the next opportunity.
