Today we’d like to introduce you to David Perilla.
David, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my mortgage career in 2021 through a connection that my mom made on the golf course. I was very fortunate to learn the business from that person. The mentorship I received was like no other and I give thanks to Premier Lending Corp for the opportunity they gave me. After 2 years with them I decided to move to another Power house. I went to work for Elite Lending and with them my mortgage knowledge grew to another level. I am very thankful to them as well and all the people there that made my stay an enjoyable one. In June of 2024 I registered Elevate Mortgage Group as my own mortgage brokerage, My main focus has always been to leverage the best technology in the industry and package it with the most competitive rates. I take pride knowing that my service and rates are top of the industry and I credit a lot of that to my mother for setting a great example throughout my childhood and my faith in the higher power that strengthens me when I need it the most.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting Elevate Mortgage Group wasn’t smooth at first but it has been smoother since. I had to learn a lot of new things such as compliance rules, payroll procedures and learning to guide others efficiently.
I’m loving the journey and what I like the most is I’m slowly but surely becoming a leader people can confidently follow.

At Elevate Mortgage Group, we help homebuyers, investors, and homeowners purchase or refinance properties with confidence. We specialize in guiding first-time buyers through the process while also supporting seasoned investors with tailored solutions. On my off time I like to write and record music. I love things that allow me to be creative and music has always done that for me. I also love playing basketball. I play about 2-3 times weekly and I have made some long time friendships through the sport.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Yes I have taken some BIG risks. Leaving Premier Lending Corp was definitely one of my biggest risks because I had finally started to get a rhythm there and my production was one of the highest at the company so leaving a place that supported me to get to become a top producer was very risky. Opening up my own mortgage brokerage was more exciting the risky but it was also a risk.
