Hi Darnell, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I started in this business back in 2004 after encountering a young lady who worked in my building. She looked very professional, and as I was intrigued by her professionalism, I decided to have a conversation with her about her career.
After learning about what she does in the real estate and mortgage industry, the conversation piqued my interest. I was very impressed and instantly sold on venturing into the real estate/mortgage business. So here I am today, twenty years later doing what I love as a Licensed Real Estate Broker, Licensed Mortgage Professional, and Licensed General Contractor.
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Well, in this business nothing comes easy.
There will be ups and downs, but it comes with the territory. However, the rewards far outweigh the risks. I put it like this: you’re as good as you were at your last deal! You can’t get too comfortable in this business. You have to HUSTLE to stay on top.
As you know, we’re big fans of Indus Advisors LLC. What can you tell our readers who might not be as familiar with the brand?
Indus Advisors is a Minority Owned, “One Stop Shop”. We specialize in Commercial Real Estate, Mortgages, Construction, and Development Services.
Real estate is not just a single-standing business, it’s very broad, so I obtained my Real Estate Broker’s License, my Mortgage License, and my General Contractor’s License. Over the years, I have come to understand the needs and wants of my clients and in that way, I can curtail my services to meet those needs.
What sets Indus Advisors apart from others in this business is our diversity, inclusion, and equitable ideals. I am proud of how far I have gotten in this business. People know and respect me because they know what my brand represents.
