Today we’d like to introduce you to Daria Pupysheva
Hi Daria, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was always in love with makeup. First time I’ve used my mom’s cosmetics when I was 4 years old. But for a very long time I was not going after my dream, because I was afraid, that being a makeup artist will not be enough to make a living.
Well, I’ve tried myself in many different careers and it was never what i really wanted. And only then, 4 years ago, after the COVID i decided to sped all my savings on the makeup course. And it was the best decision I’ve ever took in my life.
I love it with all my heart and never was more happy, than now.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I needed to move from Russia to another part of the world, start everything from the begging in Mexico, prove everyone what I’m worth and build a career in a country, that has absolutely different in everything I was used to. I didn’t even knew the language, was afraid that my style of work is not people need, but still continued my path and became one of the well known in Riviera Maya.
Then new move again: I’ve separated from my husband, changed the city and then even the country, now to US
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Im a makeup artist, and I specialize in work with real clients. I love talking to them and to get to know, what exactly they want. For me, the best way of work – is to make my client happy and feel gorgeous with the results.
Communication is the key!
My makeups are for real people, for real life, you don’t see tons of foundation and powder. You still see the person behind, just more confident and more powerful.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
Love the vibe, love the beach, love the sunrises and sunsets. For me it’s ideal mix of busy city and chill vacation mode.
But the traffic sometimes is insane 😅
