Hi Daria, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey in the beauty industry began more than 17 years ago in Ukraine, where I started as a young hairstylist passionate about transformation and attention to detail. Over the years, I trained with some of the best international colorists and mastered advanced techniques such as AirTouch Original, Fire Cut, Total Blonde, and various methods of deep hair restoration.
After ten successful years of managing my own salon in Ukraine, I decided to take a bold step and move to Miami with my family. It was a completely new beginning — a new country, a new language, and a new audience — but my passion for making people feel beautiful and confident has always stayed the same.
Today, I work under my brand Dr. Hair Miami by Daria Batok, specializing in complex color transformations, luxury blonding, and hair reconstruction using professional, high-end products. Each client receives a fully personalized approach — I treat hair health as a science, combining artistry with deep trichology knowledge.
Every day, I remind myself that beauty is not only about color or style — it’s about helping people see the best version of themselves. That’s what inspires me most and keeps me moving forward.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road — but I believe every challenge shaped who I am today.
Moving to the United States was one of the biggest tests of my life. I left behind a well-established salon, loyal clients, and a strong reputation in Ukraine to start from zero in a new country. The language barrier, adapting to a completely different market, and rebuilding my name from the ground up were not easy.
At first, I worked alone, without a team or familiar support system. Every client came through my own effort, through word of mouth, recommendations, and consistency. I had to learn everything — from local regulations to how to present my work to an American audience.
But through all of that, I never lost my passion. Each difficulty only made me more focused and creative. Today, I see those early struggles as the foundation of my growth — they taught me patience, confidence, and how to truly appreciate every client who sits in my chair.
We’ve been impressed with DR HAIR MIAMI, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

My biggest advice for those just starting out is this: don’t chase quick results — build a strong foundation.
In the beauty industry, as in any creative field, real success comes from experience, quality, and reputation. Be persistent, keep learning, and put your heart into every single client you work with.
When I first started, I thought talent alone would be enough. But over time, I learned that true mastery comes from discipline, education, and genuine care for people. Every client who sits in your chair gives you an opportunity to grow — not just as a professional, but as a person.
If I could go back, I would tell myself to appreciate every stage of the journey. Even the hardest days shape your strength and character. The most important thing is to stay inspired, confident, and fully devoted to your craft.
