Hi Dari, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been in love with art—drawing, creating, and expressing myself through colors and details. But I wanted more than just a hobby; I needed a way to turn my creativity into something that could support me financially and help me build a name for myself. That’s when I discovered nails.
At first, it was just a way to make extra income, but the more I practiced, the more I fell in love with the craft. I challenged myself to master intricate designs, experiment with new techniques, and create nails that felt like wearable art. Over time, my work started to get noticed, and clients began coming to me not just for manicures, but for unique, custom designs that made them feel confident and luxurious.
As I grew, I realized I didn’t just want to create beautiful nails—I wanted to help others succeed, too. That’s why I started teaching and sharing everything I’ve learned, from perfecting acrylic application to creating those lavish, head-turning designs. For me, nails are more than beauty—they’re a form of self-expression and empowerment, and I love showing others how to turn their passion into a thriving career.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like anyone building a skill-based business, I’ve had moments where things didn’t go as planned—clients who weren’t fully satisfied or designs that didn’t turn out exactly how I envisioned. But I’ve learned not to take it personally. Instead, I make a note of what went wrong, apply those lessons to the next set, and keep pushing myself to get better. It’s not always easy, but that’s what makes it exciting—figuring it out, growing through the challenges, and seeing my work improve with every set.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in acrylic enhancements for both nails and toes, offering everything from short to dramatic 3XL lengths with vibrant, eye-catching designs that carry my own creative touch. I also create custom press-on nails for on-the-go girlies who still want that personalized, luxury feel, and I design custom phone cases to match. Beyond creating, I teach other women how to elevate their skills as nail techs while also sharing entrepreneurial strategies to help them build their own success.
I’m most proud of my ability to juggle so many creative ventures and still keep pushing forward. What sets me apart is my attention to detail. It’s not just about having a pretty design—your shape has to be flawless, your design has to be intentional, and the set has to last long enough for the client to truly feel they got what they paid for. I take pride in delivering that level of quality every time.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Not all money is good money. You’ll have to turn people away to abide by your business morals and rules.
