Meet Danielle Simone

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Simone.

Danielle Simone

Hi Danielle, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
My business has evolved significantly since its inception. Over the last four years, I’ve increasingly focused on working with athletes, a shift that feels both natural and fulfilling given my background as a former Division 1 college athlete. As a tennis player, I always prioritized nutrition and fitness, and my passion for cooking and bringing people together over food has deep roots in my large Italian family, where food is taken very seriously.

Currently, my work centers on creating nutritious yet appealing meals for athletes. I aim to inspire excitement and satisfaction around healthy eating. Having spent 11 years as an educator, I also relish teaching others how to prepare healthy, fun, and straightforward meals for themselves.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Running your own business is tough and a lot of times it feels like it just gets harder. A struggle can often be just having the grit to not give up. My husband plays a huge role as a motivator as his continuous support is admirable and helps me overcome my challenges.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I take great pride in enhancing athletes’ performance and well-being through their diet during training and competition. I enjoy adding excitement to their meals by crafting healthier versions of fast food favorites. My goal is to ensure that healthy eating never feels boring or repetitive.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I aspire to publish a cookbook and expand my offerings with specialty products that I can market to a broader audience of athletes. I have started writing my book and hopefully, that is something I can execute in the near future.
