Meet Corey Peacock of Peacock Performance and Physiology in Fort Lauderdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Corey Peacock.

Corey, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I grew up in the small, blue-collared town of Tiffin, Ohio. Here I was first introduced to Strength and Conditioning as a three sport athlete. I continued athletics as both a collegiate athlete and coach, graduating with a Master’s Degree in Applied Exercise Science from Ashland University, and Doctoral Degree in Exercise Physiology from Kent State University. Once finished with my academic preparation, I accepted a position as a Professor of Health and Human Performance at Nova Southeastern University. While a faculty member and researcher at Nova Southeastern University, I was exposed to a lot of great coaching, researching, and consulting opportunities with a variety of NCAAF, NHL, NFL, and MMA teams. These opportunities lead to a greater role as the Head of Performance with a prominent Mixed Martial Arts Team, consisting of nearly 30 UFC/Professional fighters. These networking opportunities opened up an opportunity for a Clientele consisting of multiple World-Class Combat Athletes.

Has it been a smooth road?
It was never easy, and continues to remain difficulty. You play an integral part in the Athlete’s preparation/performance, therefore you must continue to evolve and get better at your craft.

We’d love to hear more about your business.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
South Florida is home to hundreds of professional combat, boxing, and MMA athletes, therefore, it is the ideal location for our business. It is very competitive, but is a great place to start in training professional combat athletes.
