Meet Coralie Nader of Kòmsi Like in Palm Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Coralie Nader.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Coralie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My name is Coralie Nader and it really all started with a desire to serve my Haitian community in the best way I knew how, fashion. Growing up in Haiti, I got to travel around the country with my family and meet so many different people with different walks of life. I was extremely proud of our culture and history back then and I still am today. During the pandemic, I lost both of my main sources of income. This was a pretty hard time for me getting readjusted to everything. In the midst of chaos, I started to meditate and really connect with God. As the days went by, I was getting a lot of signs that I should take on a new project that would add value to the Haitian community. I noticed that there were no brands or companies catering to Haitian women so I decided to go for it!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I like to believe that life is as easy or as hard as you make/take it. It has not been a smooth road but I know that every challenge is an investment in my growth as an individual and as a company.

Kòmsi Like – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Kòmsi Like is a lifestyle brand celebrating the fluidity of Haitian culture and women. We’re on a mission to create more positive representation of us worldwide and it starts with us as individuals. Making space for us to grow and be great is what I aim to do as Kòmsi Like evolves. Haitian women have always been a big inspiration to me and continue to be on a daily basis. So far, we offer t-shirts, stickers, and jewelry for the proud Haitian girls who love to flaunt their culture. Kòmsi Like is created for them and with them in mind.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success, to me, is continuously going after whatever it is that you want and desire despite the fear and limiting beliefs that you may have. We only have one life and we are here for a very limited amount of time. It is of utmost importance that we do the things we want to do and go for the goals that will allow us to expand as human beings. One of my favorite quotes is, “Goals are to grow, not to get.”
