Today we’d like to introduce you to Cody Doss.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
Started playing music when I was young. Ended up playing more music with Bracher, the other half of the band. Now we make more music together today!
Please tell us about your art.
We make music and music videos. The music comes naturally as a coping mechanism, and the videos come after as an exciting way of storytelling. The message is different for each song, but we really just want to make tracks that people enjoy and remember. I hope it fucks up someone’s day in the best way.
What do you think about conditions for artists today? Has life become easier or harder for artists in recent years? What can cities like ours do to encourage and help art and artists thrive?
Easier to make the art, much more difficult to live off of it. But even historically, artists have been poor. I hope you don’t get into this for the sake of becoming rich and successful because you will most likely end up heartbroken.
Cities can provide spaces for artists to perform, as well as include them in publications to spread the word (thank you! 😉
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
All over the internet!
We also play shows across FL monthly. You can support our work by getting some merch off of our website, or just listening on Spotify, Apple Music, or your preferred streaming service.
