Today we’d like to introduce you to Claudia Pretelt.
Claudia, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Three years ago I became a mother and my life changed completely. As my daughter grew up I wanted to be a conscious mom, I wanted to make sure I was giving my daughter good quality things. I started to read about food, health and sustainable habits.I was in the mission to enjoy my role as a mom and at the same time trying to generate a positive impact in the world, this goal pushed me to educate my self in several topics and one of those was the use of daily beauty products. Of all the things I learned, the beauty industry caught my attention, because I felt that people still do not a lot about this topic, about the toxic ingredients, about the regulations. I have learned than in the US the existing regulation for beauty products, is the same for the last 80 years, can you imagine how bad it is? I got so passionate about this topic that my husband suggested me to create a blog and share what I have learned and then I created Beauty Made Organic, a project to share non-toxic beauty tips and a healthier lifestyle with sustainable practices.
My greatest source of inspiration is my daughter and is because of I her I am always looking for more information, to make better and more conscious decisions.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Starting a new project has brought a lot of joy, but it has also brought a lot of learnings. During this process, I have learned that getting the project where I want takes time and a lot of dedication, especially when you have to divide your time into a regular job, your family and study, also because some times I have to sacrifice time with my family to be able to work in my project. Being an entrepreneur means you have to learn to do everything in order to grow your business, and although it has been difficult because there are some things I have to do that are not natural to me, I have learned so much. Every achievement that I get I value it a lot more.

Beauty Made Organic is a company founded by a mom that wants to educate people in choosing better beauty products and habits, especially for women and children. Our mission as a company is always to choose the best brands and products that are consistent with our principles. Products that are effective and at the same time natural, non-toxic, organic, cruelty-free and safe to use and to the environment. We believe in the importance of knowing what ingredients you use in our body and we believe in empowering each person to feel safe and happy about the product they are using. We also care about our planet, we want to make sure to contribute in a positive way so that we can persevere it.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I believe that success is when you accomplish things that come from the heart and impact people in positive ways. I am always looking for people, companies that are sustainable, conscious and that want to make a difference. For my near future, I want to collaborate with more women who are also aligned with my values, I believe when women work together amazing things come along.
