Meet Cielomar Puccio of Brandllet

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cielomar Puccio.

Cielomar Puccio

Hi Cielomar, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. When I was 12 years old, I started the journey of ballet. During my journey in ballet, I had the opportunity to train under wonderful and professional dancers and teachers. I even expanded my knowledge by taking classes in other dance genres like contemporary dance, jazz, ballroom dance, and tap… but I always kept my true passion, classical ballet.

When I got older, I had the opportunity to participate as a dance judge, work as a teacher, choreograph pieces, collaborate with other dancers on their projects, work in various dance schools, and others, all revolving around my ballet passion. After graduating High School, I completed a BA in Advertising and Public Relations and got accepted to study law at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus.

Law became my second passion. Studying law was very time-consuming and difficult for me. It required a lot of time studying, reading, and being passive. Something that I was not used to. At times this became frustrating. So, during my time at law school, my escape from all my studies and my relaxing time was my ballet classes which I never stopped taking. This escape helped me get through law school.

After graduating and becoming a licensed attorney in Puerto Rico I started working in different legal fields trying to find what I felt for ballet in law. I worked in Family Law, Estate Law, Probate Law, Civil Law, Medical Malpractice Law, Notary… I realized I liked law, but I always felt my happiest when in the afternoons I ran to make it on time to my ballet class. That’s when I felt liberated and completely content. I didn’t find that in any legal field.

Fast forward to 10 years ago… when I married a Miami resident and moved to Florida. I started in the Federal field of Immigration Law and of course, looking for a place where I could continue taking my beloved ballet classes. I found a few good places to take my ballet classes. I was happy. The rest could wait.

After a few years, during one morning in a class, one of my classmates was searching for an Immigration lawyer to help her with some legal issues. I offered my help and all of a sudden, a light bulb moment.

I couldn’t believe it! No more compromise! I found what I was looking for! What if I concentrate my legal knowledge to advocate and help my beloved dance peers/community? What if I started a law firm whose goal was to help dancers all around the world with their legal issues? That will be like…

PERFECT! My two passions united in one. No more rushing to dance school for my escape but working 24/7 in what I loved. Of course, I will always take my dance class, lol. And that is how Brandllet was born and here I am.

A ballet dancer made attorney made dancer attorney out there to help all dancers and artists with their legal problems in Immigration, Trademark, and Copyright so that they can succeed in OUR passion.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like with any other start-up business, reaching out to potential clients and spreading the word so that my audience knows that I’m here to help has been at times challenging.
