So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started “Fantasies n’ Pumps, March 23, 2018. I started dancing at the age of four in-studio training as a technical professional dancer. But as I got older and became a woman, I fell in love with heels which I wore to work every day when I worked retail in high school. I’m a party girl, so I dance and walk in my heels with a breeze. I see women sometimes struggling to walk in heels and I hated it. I got an Apiphany one day and knew what I wanted to do. Host a heels dance class for girls and women at all dance levels, beginners including to learn a short dance combination in their heels and to enjoy a girls night out. Learning how to move and walk sexy in which ever pair of heels they feel comfortable in to gain that confidence to walk more in heels and to bring that sexy fantasies to life. I just had my heels class anniversary March 2019 that recently pass and I can’t wait to see what more is to come with “Fantasies n’ Pumps.”
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. Marketing and advertising, I don’t have a team so I’m doing everything myself trying to bring more revenue to my social media platforms reach more parole to bring more clients and customers to my classes. Making my own flyers being as creative as possible. investing my own money to have theme classes was a bit of a struggle. One time, I only had two girls in my class, even though the money is a benefit or can be a loss. I continue because this is what I love to do, I don’t care if it’s one person, I’m giving them my energy and the experience that’s all I care about.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Fantasies N Pumps – what should we know?
I’m a dancer, urban model, bartender. I specialize and is known for all three. What I’m most proud of as a brand, organization, service provided, and creative is never giving up and making it say I’ve done it for a year and I can’t for many more years to come in my growing business. What sets me apart is the experience, when girls take my class I’m not just their instructor I’m their friend, that homegirl that hypes you up in a party.
Do you feel luck has played a role in your life?
Honestly, I don’t think I’ve had any luck just blessings.
