Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Dorelien.
Christopher, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Since I graduated from college, I have been working for the higher education system in admissions, recruiting new students. Worked for 5 different universities from New York to Florida, working long hours, 6 days a week. Being under pressure to make quotas started taking its toll on me, on my health as it’s been taking a huge toll on my family as well.
I told myself that there had to be another way, a better way. I started researching about working from home opportunities and I always wanted to own my OWN business. Then I was referred to a company by my cousin who was doing very well as an entrepreneur and after doing weeks of research, I decided to do it. It was the lowest start up business I had found and the benefits alone were worth it. So in the Summer of 2016 I started working with Motor Club of America. MCA To Freedom was created to share the benefits within my community.
Seeing how well I was doing at recruiting and coaching and helping new members how to run their business, market, advertise and start from the ground up, I decided to expand in that direction and in January 2017 I created Live Your Dream Inc. (LYD). A mentoring, tutoring company dedicated to teach new entrepreneurs marketing, advertising, management skills to be successful.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With every business startup, it is always tough getting off the grown and running. Making sure that the new prospect is the right one, that they have the right mentality to build their business and grow with it is always a struggle.
But having amazing people that are there for support is what helps you make it. My wife Jessie has always been there for moral support keeping me focused. Also, what helped me a lot was applying the teachings of some of my mentors like Grant Cardone, Gary Vaynerchuk, and Russell Brunson. All 3 are leaders in the Entrepreneurship Industry and their teachings are valuable to any new business owners out there.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Live Your Dream – what should we know?
Live Your Dream is a mentoring, tutoring company for new entrepreneurs in the business world. We teach you how to have a BUSINESS with multiple streams of sustainable income by partnering you with companies so that you can be financially free to live your dreams.
There are many companies out there that are looking for people, we research those companies, and select a few to refer to individuals that are looking to work on their own. Once the match is set, we train you on marketing, advertising, social media cross-promoting and how to duplicate your results with your team.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
In this industry, you have to be consistent, patient and stick to your goals. Building value in what you do and promoting that value is key to being successful.
