Meet Christopher Berrios of A.P.E.S. Marketing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Berrios.

Hi Christopher, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story starts in the Bronx, NY. I’m the youngest of 4 boys, we grew up in poverty. So from a young age, I was always looking for ways to make extra money from packing bags at the supermarket to selling candy door to door.

As I got older that turned into starting businesses, if I had an idea I just ran with it. Watching TV one day I decided I wanted to learn how to trade stocks. Instead of clicking passed “CNBC” I left it there and started absorbing the knowledge.

In my family, we didn’t have a person I could go to for financial advice so everything was learned by trial and error. After learning the basic concepts of trading and losing a few dollars as a teen I gave up my dream of being a millionaire stock trader.

Fast forward a bit to 2017 Robinhood trading app was a game-changer no longer did you need an expensive Brokerage account to make a trade or even pay a fee per trade it was free. That made me get back into the market and start investing again, Around that same time I started a financial group on Facebook to spread the little knowledge I knew to others in my situation.

The group is great lots of people were interested in the stock market and investing. My group peaked at around 20k members until the meme stock/wall street bets phenomenon happened.

Before the wall street bets movement happened I was working with the department of sanitation of NYC and I was involved in a car accident while on the job that left me bedridden and lots of time on my hands. I needed to figure out how to make money while being physically disabled.

I started to take trading a bit more seriously when that happened I was basically using the stock market as my personal bank account every day my goal was to make a few hundred dollars and it was working!

One day, I start hearing about GameSpot and wall street bets. I got on Reddit and I fell in love with what they were doing but I couldn’t contribute because I didn’t have enough karma to make a post so I decided to check on Facebook to see if there was a wallstreetbets and one didn’t exist so I decided to make one.

I went to every forum and every stock group to promote the biggest WallStreetBets group on Facebook and it started taking off from 20k members to 100k then 250k and now at 480k.

We had lots of great stock/crypto information posted in our group early like doge, AMC, and GME, Those are the classics one of the most recent ones was DWAC. I turned 4k into 70k holding that stock in under two days.

Having such a huge platform is a blessing lots of companies want to partner up and pay for advertising which allowed me to work on this full time.

I currently sit on the advisory board of a publicly-traded blockchain company, I’m also working closely with one of the biggest prop trading companies in the United States helping them develop a learn-to-earn platform to turn retail trader’s into pro traders using gamification.

I’m a senior partner in TCG World, the largest 4k open-world Metaverse. I own a huge commercial property worth millions of dollars, I will be creating play 2 earn games and learn to earn games on my property to help educate and onboard more people into trading and web3.

I’m the CCO of JPIC the Jigsaw Puzzle International Convention working closely with them to launch a coin and not set in the near future. JPIC is having a huge collaboration expo with my other partner TCG.WORLD in Las Vegas July 8,9,10. Check out the website for more info https://themetaverseexpo.io

I work on numerous other projects and do many speaking engagements in the near future. I’m just blessed to have these opportunities given to me and I will like to help others find their path too.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Running a group with nearly 500k members was a learning experience. One of the biggest obstacles was trying to give everyone a voice without it becoming just random information without substance.

Another obstacle was learning how to monetize the group and leveraging my connection to benefit my partners and myself equally.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I would like to mention Jenifer Rodriguez for supporting me and helping me out on this journey from the beginning, she runs all the day-to-day activities and scheduling of my appointments I would be lost without her.

I would also like to mention Nadav Sapeika for taking a chance on me and giving me an opportunity to see my true value.
