Meet Christian Sturla

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian Sturla.

Hi Christian, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When I was a child, I loved being transported into another place through storytelling, and that blossomed into a love for creating those fictional places of my own. I started taking pictures of everything with my phone camera and immediately realized it was something I loved to do. Once my mother noticed my passion, she bought me my first camera. From that moment, I fell in love with the process of trying to take a photo nobody has before and then imprinting my style into it. Through that process, I started to discover who I want to be as a photographer.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been easy and I know there will be more challenges ahead since I’m not done growing. As a creative, I think it’s very easy to get caught up in comparison. Along with the self-doubt, there’s the pressure of seeing a finished product multiple ways and choosing the right one. It can be a very complex decision, especially because I’m still developing my style. I find myself constantly evolving in the way I see the world, and that influences my technique. I believe personal growth is a direct link to creative growth. With that being said, I feel I have a long way to go before I am where I want to be.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
About seven years ago, I started taking photography seriously, I created an online name for myself called Paradise productions. I pull most of my inspiration and style from the music and movies I listen to and watch. I would like to think my style evokes a feeling of walking into another world. what I would like to be known for is finding inspiration in places people would never think to look and turning that into influential art. What I’m most proud of is the people I have around me. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the people I chose to call family.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
Communication with me is always open on all platforms. Feel free to support me by checking out my Instagram.
